Fred Design

Featured on our Instagram series, Humans of TMRW we caught up with member Fred Design! We handed them a lucky cactus, and asked founder Roger Chasteauneuf about his business and life at TMRW!⁣
1. In a nutshell, what is Fred Design and what are your different roles/hats within the company?
“Fred Design is a full service design agency. We love being involved with any creative project across print, strategy and digital. We do lots of branding, as well as info-graphics, report design and web design as well as digital content for social media. It’s primarily just myself and Tom and we tend to both be heavily involved in everything. I think a project always tends to benefit from a second opinion, so much like Lennon McCartney (though obviously not quite as talented) we will share all credits. I guess Tom tends to do more of the animation and digital and myself (Roger) more the art direction and brand strategy.⁣

2. Tell us three things you are hoping to achieve this year within the company
“1. We’re looking to do more and more in brand strategy this year. We put on the brand archetypes event a few months back and are looking to push this a lot more.⁣
⁣ 2. Over the last year we have pushed so much more into digital so want to continue that trend as well. We do a fair bit of website design and animation already but things like app design is something we would love to do even more of.⁣
⁣3. Be slightly more organised and keep up with the admin side of things. We always prioritise the work which means we are constantly slipping behind on any admin. Still, nice to be busy I guess.⁣”
⁣ ⁣
3. What is your favourite thing about TMRW?
“Hard to say just one thing as its such a cool place. I worked on my own when I first started Fred, so think it would just be the sense of community and the opportunity to mix with so many companies. Its really inspirational hearing about the startups here and there is a great energy. Most important though, everyone is just super nice.⁣”

4. Favourite Byte food/drink?
“I’m a big fan of the Breakfast Birchers, whilst Tom is rather partial to a New Yorker.⁣”
